Why staying virtual would be more beneficial

So, you’ve now settled into the new, ‘norm,’ of working from home as you have had to move over to doing it this way since the dreaded Covid-19 hit us. How are you liking it? Are you finding it a pain and can’t wait to go back to the office or are you thinking, actually, I quite like this, I think I’d prefer to carry on this way in the long term.

Either way, there is definitely a lot to be said for working virtually. Well she would say that as she’s a VIRTUAL Assistant, you might say. But it’s not just because I’m biased towards it, there really are some great bonuses to setting up shop in your home as opposed to going out to work in an office. Let me share with you a few of them.

Aside from the obvious; kitchen supplies on tap, no needing to get washed and dressed until midday (or later) if you don’t want to, no longer needing to constantly try and avoid the cake run (look at me, constantly thinking about food!). Some other actual business perks are things like:

  • You can reduce your outgoing expenses like not having to pay for office space or equipment like desks and chairs.
  • Reducing the risk of sickness within your team that can be caused by the air conditioning passing germs around the office or people having to work in such close proximity.
  • All the time you are saving on travelling to and from the office, being stuck in traffic jams, etc. Not to mention you will no longer need to worry about battling dodgy weather conditions or that white van man (sorry Mr white van man!). And you’ll be saving a lot of wear and tear, mileage and petrol on the vehicle as well.
  • With the time you are saving on not travelling to and from work, you could find that you’ll have more time to spend seeing family and friends or enjoying that hobby you normally struggle to fit in. Or even simply just relaxing.

It’s a no-brainer really, why would you want to go back to the office now? If you’ve got any tasks that you would like support with, take a look at my list of services to see how I can help.
